This page is the privacy policy for Little Big Dreams Press, the independent children's picture-book publisher run by Jamil Rivera in Chicago, Illinois, and for its private tool, the Little Big Dreams Uploader. It also covers this site.
The Little Big Dreams Uploader
The Uploader is a private script used by one person, its owner. It is not offered to the public, it has no other users, and it has no accounts or sign-ups. It uses the YouTube Data API only to upload videos to the owner's own channel, Little Big Dreams, and to set each video's title, description, playlist and privacy status. The owner signs in with his own Google account and authorizes it once.
- What it accesses: only the owner's own YouTube channel and the videos he uploads.
- What it stores: an authorization token, a local OAuth client file and per-episode sidecar files that record the IDs of uploaded videos, all on the owner's own computer. None of it is shared, sold or sent anywhere other than to Google's API endpoints.
- Other people's data: none. The Uploader does not collect, store or share data about viewers, subscribers or any other user.
Data deletion: the Uploader stores only the files named above on the owner's computer, and the Uploader keeps no copies elsewhere. The authorization token is kept on the owner's computer until the owner deletes it or revokes access. Deleting the token file and revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions removes all access.
Compliance: the Uploader complies with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service (developers.google.com/youtube/terms/api-services-terms-of-service) and the Google API Services User Data Policy (developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), and it requests the YouTube upload scope and the YouTube account-management scope (www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload and www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube), using them only on the owner's own channel: to upload videos, set their title, description, playlist and privacy status, list the owner's own channel videos, and delete the owner's own videos, only on his explicit instruction. The Uploader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The Uploader uses YouTube API Services. By using it, the owner agrees to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
